Accessibility at The Running Fox
At The Running Fox, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy great food, warm hospitality, and time spent together.
We are committed to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces across all of our sites and continually reviewing how we can improve accessibility for our customers. Our friendly team are always happy to assist, discuss individual requirements, and help make your visit as comfortable as possible.
Mobility Access
Accessibility varies slightly across our cafés due to the age and character of some of our buildings.
Most Running Fox locations offer step-free access, accessible toilet facilities and wheelchair-friendly dining areas where possible.
Please note: our Felton café is not fully wheelchair accessible. There are steps into the main building and the upstairs restaurant can only be accessed via stairs, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users.
Where access is limited, our team will always do their best to assist and, where possible, recommend one of our other cafés that offers more suitable facilities. If you have any questions before your visit, please don't hesitate to contact us directly and we'll be happy to help you plan your visit.
Customers with Visual Impairments
Our teams are happy to read menus, describe products and assist customers throughout their visit. Assistance dogs are welcome at every Running Fox café, with water available on request.
Customers with Hearing Loss
Where available, visual fire alarm systems are in place, and our teams are happy to communicate using written notes if preferred.
Neurodivergent Customers
Customers are welcome to request quieter seating areas where available. For those who prefer a calmer environment, weekday mornings and later afternoons are often our quietest times outside of school holidays.
If you have any specific sensory or accessibility requirements, we encourage you to contact the café before your visit, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Customers Living with Dementia
Our cafés are designed to provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with clear signage, accessible facilities and team members who are always happy to provide additional assistance with seating, menus and ordering.
As part of our commitment to accessibility, we are exploring further initiatives including dementia-friendly sessions, quiet café experiences and additional staff training.
We Welcome Feedback
Accessibility is an ongoing journey and we are committed to continually improving our facilities and services. If you have any suggestions or would like to discuss your accessibility requirements before visiting, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.
